Lauren is a Clinical Psychologist who has been working in the field for over fifteen years. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Western Australia, and her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Curtin University.

She has previously worked in the  public system with children and adolescents, young offenders and their families.

Her private practice work focuses on providing mental health assessments, Single Expert Witness reports for the Family Court as well as counselling and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

Lauren works collaboratively and flexibly with individuals, couples and families presenting with a wide range of psychological and relational issues; assisting them to develop skills  and strategies to manage emotional, behavioural, mental health and relationship difficulties.

She uses a variety of approaches when working with clients, based on the individual needs and goals of each person. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Lauren believes that building a strong trusting relationship with her clients is also a priority with regards to achieving positive outcomes in therapy.

As well as individual and family therapy, Lauren also works as a consultant in various primary and high schools, providing workshops for students, staff and parents. Workshop topics include: Building resilience in adolescents, body image and self-esteem, stress management, adolescent mental health issues, the transition from boyhood to manhood, and being a young female in today’s society, bullying and conflict management. She also is a consultant for the Family Court of Western Australia, providing assessments and recommendations for complex family matters, and providing court reportable family therapy.
